Academic Technology

DoIT Academic Technology (DoIT AT) helps faculty, staff and students to apply technology to current and future academic environments.

Application Development & Integration

Applications Development and Integration (ADI) focuses on business analysis, application design, programming, integration and testing for customers across campus.


DoIT Communications handles the internal and external communications and marketing promotions for DoIT overall, its departments and the Office of the CIO.

Application Infrastructure Services

AIS provides the following services such as Web Platforms/Services, Interoperability, Enterprise Integration, Identity and Access Management and Workflow & Application Development.

Financial Services

DoIT Financial Services provides financial accounting, reporting, and analysis for DoIT operations as well as billing and reconciliation for campus customers who use DoIT services.

Human Resources

The DoIT Human Resources team provides talent management, recruitment, policy and procedure interpretation, payroll, benefits and much more.

Network Services

Network Services is responsible for the data, video, voice and network infrastructure on campus. We provide internet and research network connectivity, wireless, remote access systems, cable TV, telephone and messaging plus all physical network infrastructure.

Systems Engineering & Operations

SEO designs, operates and maintains the campus IT infrastructure. We provide direct support for campus applications. We also manage and maintain the 24/7 UW‑Madison Data center operations and provide full printing resources.

System Services Group

The SSG provides supporting services funded by the Common Systems Review Group (CSRG). The CSRG is the decision-making body that determines priorities and funding for IT services that DoIT provides to UW System.

User Services

User Services provides help desk user support, computer repair, open computer lab support, technology use consulting, departmental support, educationally discounted products at three campus locations, and services and technologies enabling productivity and collaboration
