Lehman To Serve As DoIT Interim COO

Current UW interim CIO Michael Lehman will also serve as interim Chief Operating Officer for DoIT after John Krogman retires at the end of December, 2017. The move is expected to continue at least until a new CIO is named. The search for a new CIO is expected to begin in the next couple of months.

“John will continue to lead DoIT through December,” said Lehman. “I felt it important to name an interim to ensure continuity and support for the good work that DoIT staff are doing. During the interim period, I do not expect that there will be significant changes to the organization, including to its current mission and day to day operations.

“It is important for a new campus CIO to evaluate the organization that he or she will manage, and have the ability to choose his or her direct reports,” Lehman added. “I expect that to happen not long after a new CIO is chosen. Until then, the DoIT directors will work with me to oversee DoIT operations and projects.”
