Box Desktop Folder

Access Box folders offline with new Box Drive feature

The new “Mark for Offline” feature in Box Drive enables you to mark any folders you need for offline access to easily work on the go – regardless of internet connectivity. Simply select the Box folders you need to access and Box Drive automatically downloads the folder’s files to your computer.

If you or a collaborator makes changes to an offline file, those changes will automatically upload back to the original location as soon as you or a collaborator goes back online so everyone is working with the most up-to-date version of the file.

To access this new feature, your Box Drive application must be at version 2.0 or later. If you’re not sure what version you’re using contact the DoIT Help Desk for assistance or learn how to check for critical updates for Box Drive.

NOTE: Box does not support having both Box Sync and Box Drive installed on your computer. If you wish to use the new feature, please uninstall Box Sync before installing Box Drive.

To learn how to use this new feature and to find helpful tips go to “Making Content Available Offline.” If you have questions, please contact the DoIT Help Desk for assistance.
