University of Wisconsin–Madison
Cyber Security Success

Grow your cybersecurity skills & earn key certifications

Get a leg up in booming information technology disciplines while learning critical skills to help the university protect against cyber threats in a series of hands-on professional development courses.

Brought to campus by the University of Wisconsin–Madison Office of Cybersecurity, the two courses in network security infrastructure and cybersecurity will take place at Union South in early 2020, taught by industry leaders at Stronger International Inc., a global IT consulting and training firm.

With cyber threats and security breaches growing in frequency and scope worldwide, UW–Madison’s Office of Cybersecurity leads the campus-wide charge to protect against ever-morphing threats.

“Here at UW–Madison, we are constantly reminded of the increasing threat to our information, systems and data,” says Chief Information Security Officer Bob Turner. “Every day, threat actors and criminals are taking new approaches to gain access to our information.”

The Stronger series begins in February with a security fundamentals course. Both classes will be held at Union South.
