Lockdown 2019 was a success!

The 2019 Lockdown conference took place Wednesday July 17 at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center. 308 attendees enjoyed presentations on smart devices, privacy, cryptography, imposter syndrome and more.

New to this year’s conference, the Cybersecurity Basics track was well received. The packed room of attendees learned about password managers and VPNs, those who are most vulnerable online, and cyberbullying.

As Lockdown approaches its 20th year, it will be receiving a new name. Lockdown no longer has the same connotation as it once did. To truly reflect the Wisconsin Idea and the educational and collaborative environment that Lockdown has become, we invite you to help us rename Lockdown by sending your suggestions to mnash3@wisc.edu

The Lockdown Planning Committee would like to thank all of those who were able to attend this year. We hope to see you and all those who couldn’t make it at next year’s event on Friday July 17, 2020.
