Next-gen MyUW coming in summer 2026

UW–‍Madison is taking the MyUW portal to the next level in 2026.

The MyUW Forward Project will migrate MyUW to the Salesforce Experience Cloud platform—a change that will preserve the features Badgers are used to while behind the scenes unlocking opportunities for new innovations, faster development and better personalization.

The new platform is the same technology that powers UW–‍Madison Profile, which won a 2025 Administrative Improvement Award for innovation. By bringing MyUW and Profile onto a single platform, the university can stay current with changing technology and create a more connected digital experience.

The new MyUW with the updated platform will launch in July after an inclusive development process. In the coming months, university employees and students will have opportunities to learn about and contribute to the project to ensure MyUW continues to meet the needs of the UW community.

Lunch-&-learn sessions this fall

The MyUW Forward Project Team will host virtual lunch-&-learn sessions in the coming weeks. These sessions are designed for staff in units that manage MyUW tiles and applications, but are open to all students and staff.

MyUW has served as a crucial hub for digital life at the university since 2001, when the Division of Information Technology pioneered online access to university services by launching the original “My UW–‍Madison.” What was once a bold step into a new digital realm has now become the standard in higher education worldwide.

The MyUW Forward Project will lay the foundation for innovations that will define the next generation of digital experiences at UW–‍Madison.
