The Data Classification Discovery Team has launched a survey to identify gaps and areas of confusion relating to the current UW–Madison data classification policy. Every day as a UW–Madison employee, you work with data that can be classified as public, internal, sensitive or restricted. Your participation in this survey will help campus policy contributors decide how to update the current data classification to be more consistent, useful and applicable for everyone on campus.
The survey includes 15 short questions and should only take 10 minutes of your time. The answers you provide will not be shared beyond the working groups directly charged with the data classification policy update.
The survey will remain open until February 4, at which time the team will provide a written report to the Policy Planning & Analysis Team (PAT) with a recommended course of action for the data classification policy at UW–Madison.
