UW-Madison – Final grading schedule

As spring 2026 comes to a close, here are some important dates to keep in mind:

  • Now – HelioCampus AC course evaluations are currently running and close May 1
  • April 30 – Course rosters generated in Faculty Center and the grading period begins
  • May 1 – Final day of instruction
  • May 1 – HelioCampus AC course evaluations close
  • May 6 – Deadline for requesting grading extention
  • May 11 – End of grading period
  • May 14 – End of extended grading period
  • May 15 – Instructors can access course evaluations in HelioCampus AC

DesignPLUS – Summer School, June 22-26

All instructors, instructional designers and support staff are invited to attend Cidi Labs DesignPLUS Summer School. It is a one-hour commitment, every day, for the week of Monday, June 22.

Canvas – Fall 2026 courses now available

Canvas course shells for fall 2026 are now available to instructors. Check out our Learn@UW Video Training Library for on-demand training on all manner of Canvas-related content, as well as several other of our integrated learning technologies.

Engage – Order period for FA26

Since UW-Madison launched Engage in 2018, it has saved students millions of dollars on course materials. Instructors have until May 12 to order Engage materials for fall classes. Click here for more information and instructions for ordering.

This hour-long, fully remote session provides an overview of artificial intelligence for employees of UW-Madison. All faculty and staff are invited to attend any of the following sessions.

Registration is required, and enrollment for each session is capped at 100.
