The Cybersecurity to the Edge (C2E) program, an ambitious initiative to reduce cybersecurity risks across UW–Madison, has officially concluded and delivered on its promise to strengthen our institution’s digital resilience.
C2E focused on two workstreams, through which they have:
- established standardized security baselines for endpoints and firewalls.
- enhanced visibility and monitoring across university devices.
- improved alert management and cloud data protection.
- developed an IT Dashboard to assist with data-driven decision making and risk management.
These accomplishments were made possible through the dedication of our IT teams, the collaboration of partners, and the continued support of the university community. Together, we’ve laid a strong foundation for a more secure and unified cybersecurity posture across the university.
The discovery and implementation efforts initiated under C2E have led to the launch of two key initiatives that will continue: Active Directory Migration and Smart Access.
