Microsoft is releasing its new operating system, Windows 11, on Tuesday, October 5th. Users SHOULD NOT attempt to upgrade to it on their own.
DoIT Departmental Support is testing and validating the Windows 11 update to ensure compatibility with our security and management infrastructure as well as commonly deployed campus applications. For these major releases, comprehensive testing can take up to one year.
Upgrading to Windows 11 will impact the support you are able to receive from Departmental Support. Support requests for Windows 11 will likely result in a required downgrade back to Windows 10.
