ResearchDrive: more storage for less

The Research Cyberinfrastructure team has incredible news for those who use ResearchDrive, a university-wide secure, shareable data storage service available to eligible principal investigators (PIs). Thanks to a campus investment, ResearchDrive users received 20 additional TB of storage space for free beginning on July 1. This change increased the no-cost storage allotment from 5TB per PI to 25TB per PI. In addition, the price for extra storage also went down. PIs can now pay $120 per year for each additional TB of storage.

Existing users received the benefits of increased storage and new paid rates automatically.

Beginning in the fall, the team will introduce Research Object Storage, which will be useful for data archiving, big data analysis, enterprise applications and much more. Each PI will be eligible for 50TB of storage at no cost and will be able to pay $60 per year for each additional TB of storage.
