IT Support Symposium 2026

  • Date: Tuesday, April 21
  • Time: 8am to 3pm
  • Location: Great Hall, Memorial Union (no virtual option)
  • Cost: $30 (scholarships available)

The symposium brings together staff from across the university whose work involves providing technical support, regardless of whether “IT” is part of their job title. Whether you run a departmental help desk, support classroom technology, manage IT services, manage IT staff or work alongside people who do, this event is worth your time.

Last year, 83 IT professionals from 38 departments gathered at the inaugural symposium to share ideas, swap solutions and meet peers they’d never connected with before. Nearly 100% of survey respondents said they made new contacts and came away with practical ideas they could use in their work.

Unlike traditional conferences that rely heavily on presentations, the IT Support Symposium emphasizes active participation focused on the subjects most important to attendees, with facilitated discussions on topics they submit, plus a World Café session for open idea exchange.

Whether you’re a longtime IT veteran or newer to university technology work, the symposium offers something that many conferences don’t — real conversations with people who face the same day-to-day challenges you do.
