Canvas – Summer and fall courses coming soon

The new Canvas course shells for summer 2026 and fall 2026 will be created soon. Remember to allow a couple hours for all courses to appear on instructors’ dashboards.

  • Summer 2026: Coming March 30
  • Fall 2026: Coming April 13

Canvas – SCORM updates in April

Instructure has scheduled two dates for maintenance on the Canvas SCORM component. During the following six-hour windows, instructors and training course owners should anticipate SCORM-reliant course elements being unreliable.

  • April 7, 10:00 p.m. (CDT) to April 8, 4:00 a.m. (CDT)
  • April 14, 10:00 p.m. (CDT) to April 15, 4:00 a.m. (CDT)

Engage – Order period for FA26

Since UW–‍Madison launched Engage in 2018, it has saved students millions of dollars on course materials. Instructors can now order Engage materials for fall classes. (The ordering period for summer semester has closed.) See the dates for ordering Engage materials.
