Turnitin – Scheduled maintenance, July 18

Turnitin will be performing scheduled maintenance Saturday, July 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There could be some disruption in service during this timeframe.

Gradescope will be performing scheduled maintenance Saturday, July 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There could be some disruption in service during this timeframe.

Canvas – Free-For-Teacher Access, July 27-28

Instructure is temporarily re-opening access to their Canvas Free-For-Teacher tool from July 27 at 11 p.m. until July 28 at 10:59 p.m. This final access window offers the opportunity to view and retrieve course materials. More information is available at this Instructure Community blog post.

Upcoming events

Non-Credit Community of Practice

The next session of the Non-Credit Community of Practice will be Tuesday, July 28, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. via Microsoft Teams.

Our focus will be the Workday Learning Management System. We will be joined by Amy Russell, Learning Technologies Manager within the Office of Human Resources. Amy will provide an overview of Workday LMS and discuss some technical details. She will also discuss Workday’s security roles, and how to get courses into Workday LMS.

UDOIT Advantage Summer School 2026

Cidi Labs is hosting two hours of UDOIT training this summer. All educators and instructional support staff are welcome to join.

  • Day 1: Wednesday, August 12, from 12:00 p.m. CT to 1:00 p.m. Learn how to identify and remediate common accessibility issues in Canvas pages, assignments, discussions, and other course content using UDOIT Advantage.
  • Day 2: Thursday, August 13, from 12:00 p.m. CT to 1:00 p.m. Learn how to scan your Canvas course files for accessibility issues and create alternate formats that improve accessibility and support different ways students engage with course materials.
