Take the 2023 Cybersecurity Awareness Training

It’s time to complete your 2023 Cybersecurity Awareness Training! This annual training is mandatory for all UW–Madison faculty and staff per UWSA Policy 1032 (Source: wisconsin.edu). If you’ve recently completed the training, thank you.

Learning how to be more cyber secure is an important part of keeping data, privacy, and IT systems protected and secure. In this training, you will learn valuable cybersecurity practices that will help you to protect UW–Madison’s data and systems, as well as your own personal data at work and at home.

You must register for 1 training (visual or text) through the 2023 Cybersecurity Awareness Training website (Source: it.wisc.edu).

  • Your selected course will then load in Canvas.
  • To pass, you must correctly answer 12 of the 15 multiple choice questions.
  • The training should take fewer than 30 minutes to complete, but it does not need to be completed in one sitting. You can return to the training, pick up where you left off and complete it at your convenience.
  • You can retake the quiz until you pass.
