Calling all caffeine and beverage enthusiasts! A new quarter for I&T Coffee Connections is approaching. If you couldn’t participate last quarter, we encourage you to sign up for our next round of connecting with colleagues.

We created this series in response to a CIO Virtual Office Hours conversation where staff said they were interested in casually connecting with colleagues.
Far beyond just a caffeinated pick-me-up, this program is designed to break down silos, promote networking and nurture a strong sense of community across the university. The series is open to all IT professional staff, including IT-adjacent staff, and will run in quarters, with the next quarter being October to December.
How it works
- To sign up, fill out this brief form. There’s no deadline; you can sign up on a rolling basis and join in the next quarter.
- Each quarter, you’ll be randomly paired with a colleague.
- You’ll receive an email with your partner’s name and email address. Reach out to introduce yourself and find a day, time and location to meet.
- At the start of the next quarter, you’ll be randomly paired with another colleague, and the process repeats.
Choose your own adventure
- You can meet virtually or in person (now’s a great time to check out that coffee shop or cafe you’ve been meaning to visit).
- Meet for as long as you’d like: 30 minutes? An hour? You choose.
- Not a fan of coffee? No worries: bring/order a different beverage.
- Talk about whatever you’d like—that TV show you recently watched, that funny thing your pet did, your latest work project, etc.
- You can connect as many times as you’d like throughout the quarter.
A new round of pairings and connections begins in October, so sign up soon and encourage your IT friends, including those in IT-adjacent roles, to participate, too.
