Adobe Design Circle Scholarship awards creativity in design, technology

The Adobe Design Circle Scholarship Program is offering undergraduate scholarships up to $25,000 for up to four years, ideal for students who want to enter product design or experience design-related careers—including digital, web, user experience/user interface, industrial design or similar fields.

Applications for the 10 annual college scholarships are due March 12, 2020, at 11:59pm Pacific Time (or 1:59am Central Time).

“A diverse design community that reflects the world around us is essential to our industry’s future innovation and economic success,” Adobe says in describing the Design Circle Scholarships. “Adobe believes that young people should have the opportunity to learn and express themselves through creativity and technology, regardless of their economic or cultural backgrounds.”

This scholarship is open to students who will be pursuing undergraduate college/university studies during the 2020-21 academic year.

Required application materials include:

  • A completed online application form
  • A personal written or video statement of approximately 500 words or up to three minutes in length
  • An estimate of your expected tuition and fee expenses
  • Two reference letters
  • High school transcript
  • College/university transcript
  • Portfolio of up to three examples of your design work

Design Circle members will also offer a variety of mentorship opportunities to the scholarship winners, such as shadowing, internships, workshops and networking. In addition, all Adobe Scholars will receive a free Adobe Creative Cloud subscription for each year they are in the program.
