Cisco announced new features for Webex Meetings and Webex Events that make the video conferencing tools even more usable and effective. Some of these features launched June 25, and some will launch July 22. Here are the details:
Launched June 25
- Blurred backgrounds for MacOS on Webex Meetings and Webex Events
- See the participants’ view of what you’re sharing while you’re actively sharing content
- Guest users can edit their name and email in the preview window
- Users are able to disallow or remove O365 calendar integrations from the modern view meeting list using their preferences in the web portal
- iPad users can now have a 3×3 grid view in landscape mode and 2×4 in portrait
- Webex Meetings and Events received user interface improvements
- Option to schedule meetings via Outlook or the web portal when choosing “Schedule” in the Webex Meetings application
Launching July 22
- Blurred and virtual backgrounds for all operating systems on Webex Meetings and Webex Events (MacOS, Windows, iOS, Android)
- Easily see meeting participants with their hands raised (sort by users who have their hand raised)
- iPhone users can now have a 3×2 grid view in landscape mode and a 2×2 in portrait
