DoIT Network Services is planning to perform maintenance on our data center hardware firewall that will have a significant impact on a number of DoIT-hosted services. This work will take place 12am-8am, January 12, 2020. This is within the weekly maintenance window established by Network Services. However, due to the large impact of this change, we want to ensure that all stakeholders are properly notified.
The scope of impact for this work includes many systems, including SAML authentication, many databases (HRS, SFS, SIS, etc.), and many individual applications. See Outage #10012 for a complete list of affected services.
Some systems may only experience disruption for a few minutes, but others may be impacted for an hour or more while system and application admins bring them back online, if necessary. This maintenance will result in improved performance for traffic on our networks and we thank you in advance for your understanding and patience during these service disruptions.
