Students studying at College Library

From special software to equipment checkout, you’re covered with InfoLabs

Are you in search of special software? Do you need a camera for a project? Perhaps you need to borrow a laptop to get you through the next week or so while yours is being repaired? You’re covered with InfoLabs, a great space to collaborate on projects.

With locations throughout campus, the UW–‍Madison InfoLabs program provides students, faculty and staff with access to desktop and laptop computers, monitors to connect to your own laptop, as well as design, spreadsheet, statistical and course-specific software.

Faculty, staff and students can check out equipment including cameras, projectors, game systems, audio recorders and more, for class or personal use. Most equipment is available first come, first served, but some equipment can be reserved ahead of time. Lab locations also offer printing, scanning and editing resources. Most locations are open evenings and weekends, with the College Library location open overnight 5 nights a week.
