Join the Learn@UW team for a one-hour workshop created to introduce the basics of AI using UW–Madison approved AI tools, Microsoft CoPilot and Google Gemini. This hands-on session, designed for all UW–Madison employees, will show attendees how to login, write a successful prompt, protect University information, and think critically about the results that these tools provide.
This session will cover:
- What Generative AI (specifically LLMs) is and what it can do for you
- Which tools are available at UW–Madison and what data can be used with them
- The advantages of using UW–Madison vetted AI tools (e.g., privacy)
- How to login and use Microsoft CoPilot and/or Google Gemini
- Recognizing and describing key considerations when using AI
No technical expertise is required, but attendees should bring their willingness to explore and ask questions.
