Engage – Order periods for summer and fall 2025
Instructors intending to use Engage for the summer or fall semesters, please keep the following in mind:
- The ordering period for eTexts and digital learning tools (DLTs) for the summer semester is already open. It will remain open until March 26. No late orders or adjustments can be made after 6pm on March 26. To review the catalog of available resources or to place an order, access the Engage ordering tool here.
- The ordering period for fall 2025 will run from March 19 through May 28.
Note: In our previous newsletter, we announced that, due to a technical hiccup, Pearson and McGraw Hill content was not available in the Order Tool. This issue has been resolved; all content is now available.
Learn@UW–Madison – Using generative AI tools
As you and your colleagues dive into the exciting world of generative artificial intelligence (AI) for teaching and learning and other uses, it’s essential to remember we’re in this together to ensure AI is used ethically and responsibly at UW–Madison, including:
- Starting with generative AI services UW–Madison supports and for which we have established contracts and security/privacy agreements.
- Following guidelines and policy when using generative AI services and tools. This means being thoughtful about potentially sensitive information you might enter about the university and its students and employees, even if a tool’s been vetted.
The DoIT page on Generative AI services is always a great place to start. Check it often—information may change as the “gen AI” landscape evolves.
