UW–Madison administrative staff can now connect with colleagues exploring AI at work, whether they’re just starting out or already piloting a tool.

The Administrative AI Exchange is a Microsoft Teams community where staff in administrative units can ask questions, share what they’re trying, and learn how peers at the university are approaching the use of AI in their work. It’s informal, low-commitment and open to anyone, whether you’re just curious or already piloting a tool.

What you’ll find inside

  • General discussion and Q&A channels
  • Tool-specific channels for Microsoft Copilot, Gemini and Claude
  • A space to share use cases, pilot results and lessons learned
  • Updates from the Administrative AI Solutions (AAIS) Team

Who is it for?

  • Anyone interested in administrative AI is welcome — no expertise or formal commitment required.
  • The group focuses on administrative and enterprise functions like human resources, finance and facilities.
  • If you’re preparing to submit a use case for governance review, you’ll find peers here who are navigating the same process.
  • For questions about academic, instructional or accessibility technology, connect with the partner teams responsible for those areas.
