Effective July 1, 2024, UW–Madison will no longer offer SpectrumU to all faculty, staff and students on campus. This decision is based on current usage data and recent contract modifications.
Schools, colleges and divisions (S/C/Ds) can purchase subscriptions through the Division of Information Technology (DoIT). Authorized users and locations will be determined by the S/C/Ds that fund these subscriptions. Service will be limited to these specified locations.
If your S/C/D is not currently using this service but would like to start, please fill out the form. The cost is $12.50/user/month with a 12-month commitment. Note that this service cannot be purchased by individuals (students or staff).
Looking ahead
On July 1, 2025, UW–Madison will discontinue coaxial cable TV due to the aging infrastructure. More information regarding this transition will be provided in a future communication.
