Now is the time to expand your professional network on campus. Sign up today to join the UW-IT Mentoring program in 2024!
Sign up by December 15 to join the 2024 cohort as a mentor or mentee and get matched this spring. After you receive your match, you’ll meet with them to set your expectations and goals for the relationship and commit to regular meetings. The Mentoring program will also host sponsored events throughout the year to support and grow mentoring relationships and cross-campus collaboration.
- Who can sign up? Anyone in the IT community at UW–Madison
- When will you meet? January to August 2024
- Why should you join? Expand your network, learn about campus resources and collaboration opportunities, and work to improve your skillset
You don’t need to have taken part in mentoring before to participate on either side of a mentoring relationship.
Who should sign up to be a mentor? We recommend folks participate as mentors if they have been on campus for a few years. As a mentor, you will help your mentee determine and work for their career and personal goals and share best practices.
Who should sign up for mentoring? We recommend becoming a mentee if you are new to campus, preparing to shift your career, or simply want to work with someone new. As a mentee, you will learn about the campus and UW’s IT community, expand your network and explore potential career paths and professional development opportunities.
Everyone who signs up to be a mentor or mentee will receive an invitation to our kick-off event on January 17 from noon to 2pm.
We look forward to seeing you this spring!
