The IT Mentoring Program thoughtfully connects UW employees in peer relationships that enhance skills, knowledge and experience. Whether you become a mentor or mentee, the program will help you:

IT Mentoring Program details

Our team of experienced IT professionals carefully match applicants to find ideal mentor pairings that help all participants get the most out of the relationship. Once matched, mentors and mentees set their own expectations, goals and schedules for the mentoring relationship.

  • Runs January to August 2025
  • Monthly one-on-one mentorship meetings
  • Engaging group events to boost collaboration

Who should apply to IT Mentoring?

  • Mentees: UW IT staff, student workers, or students eyeing IT careers
  • Mentors: Seasoned IT pros ready to share their expertise
