Cybersecurity Awareness Training

Cybersecurity Awareness Training has begun!

Get on your mark, get set, go (and finish) your Cybersecurity Awareness Training. This mandatory training needs to be completed by June 30, 2021 for faculty and staff (excluding any graduate or undergraduate employees). All students will take the training in the fall.

You should have received a “Welcome” email from our trusted partner, Drip7, last week.

The welcome message included your primary UW–Madison email address and a temporary password. Log into the site with this information and you’ll be asked to change your password. If you have questions about some aspect of the training, please refer to our Cybersecurity Awareness Training Webpage (Source: it.wisc.edu) for assistance. The training should take less than 25 minutes to complete.

This training has been evaluated for accessibility and usability. See the Cybersecurity Awareness Training Accessibility & Usability Information (Source: KB 101063) for details.

How will I know when I’ve completed my training?

You will have completed the 2021 annual Cybersecurity Awareness Training when you have earned 2 related badges in your training dashboard. Your badges are earned by:

  1. Reading and acknowledging the UWSA Acceptable Use of Information Technology Resources Policy (Source: wisconsin.edu) in the training platform. Once completed, you will earn the Acceptable Use Policy badge.
  2. Answering the next 20 questions in the training module. This provides you with the 2021 Cybersecurity Awareness Training badge. Earning both badges will complete your requirement.

If you have any questions, please contact the DoIT Help Desk at (608) 264-4357 or cybersecurityawareness@cio.wisc.edu.
