What’s happening

Canvas – SIS uploads interruption, tomorrow

The Student Information System (SIS) is scheduled for an upgrade tomorrow, November 9, from 8:00am – 1:00pm. All SIS batch jobs will be placed on hold starting at 7:30am. This includes data extracts from SIS that provide course, section, and enrollment updates to Canvas.

During the upgrade window the data in Canvas will reflect the last data extract, which will be from 4:00am on Saturday. The updates to course and enrollment data in Canvas will resume as normal after the upgrade is complete

HelioCampus AC – Evaluations begin November 27

For most courses, HelioCampus AC course evaluations begin on Wednesday, November 27. HelioCampus AC departmental administrators should complete the setup of their evaluation instances, including the assignment of course sections, by end of day November 20. For refreshers on the process, refer to this KnowledgeBase document.

UDOIT – Scan your course for accessibility

It’s never too late in the term to run UDOIT to scan Canvas courses for common accessibility errors. Any changes you make to courses now will be in place for the next time you use the material. It only takes a few minutes. For more information on how to make materials accessible, see the Make it Accessible guide.

Engage – Ordering period for spring 2025 now open

For courses in Spring 2025 that will employ eTexts or digital learning tools, the Engage order period will remain open until end of day Monday, December 2. No orders will be accepted after that time. Please share this information with interested instructors.
