Identity & Access Management Work Request

The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Project Intake Request enables partners from throughout UW–‍Madison and UW-System to request the time, expertise, and existing services of the IAM Team for an upcoming project.

1Password

1Password is a free-to-use, DoIT supported enterprise password manager that allows faculty, staff, and students to securely store, manage, and share credentials used for university purposes.

Server Certificates ( SSL/TLS )

SSL/TLS certificates allow secure communication between devices on the internet. They are used to encrypt data sent to and from websites, which helps to protect users’ privacy and build trust in the website.

Managed Security Layer (MSL)

The Managed Security Layer (MSL) service bundles centrally available endpoint management and security tools offered by UW–‍Madison and the Office of Cybersecurity into an affordable service that can assist UW departments to align with cybersecurity best practices and comply with UW–‍Madison and Universities of Wisconsin policies regarding endpoint management, endpoint security and IT asset management.

CyberArk

The CyberArk service provides password manager and Privilege Access Management (PAM) functionality and controls for users, accounts, processes, and systems at UW–‍Madison.

Duo multi-factor authentication (MFA)

The Duo Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) service provides secure access to all UW–‍Madison applications. Paired with the NetID login service, Duo MFA adds an extra layer of identity protection onto the NetID login.

SecureBox

SecureBox service provides a free-online file storage and collaboration service to store ePHI.  It is available for UW–‍Madison staff to share ePHI data with collaborators (internal and external to UW–‍Madison) when a departmental solution is not available and the amount of data to be stored is less than 50GB.

Event management and monitoring – IT

Event Management and Monitoring service is responsible for the elevation of select monitored IT detected events into the Service Management system, WiscIT, from any event detector source.

Cisco Secure Endpoint

Cisco Secure Endpoint (formally Cisco AMP) is a powerful, centrally managed antivirus protection and monitoring tool.

Campus Active Directory services

Enabling participating departments to take advantage of centralized NetID-based authentication, while allowing for delegated administration of local resources.
