What exactly is Gartner?

How UW–Madison Gartner for Technical Professionals works
Join the campus Gartner Group
If you’re a UW–Madison employee with an interest in learning more from Gartner for Technical Professionals, you can join the campus Gartner Tech Group. You don’t have to work at DoIT; you don’t need letters of technical certification behind your name. All you need is a NetID confirming your status as a UW–Madison employee.
- Go to the Gartner Tech Group join page.
- Click the red “Join Group” button.
- Watch for a confirming message in green toward the top of the page.
That’s it—you’re in!
Access your UW–Madison Gartner portal online
Once you’ve joined the Gartner Tech Group, access a wealth of content at gartner.wisc.edu, the UW–Madison Gartner Tech portal. Customize your portal according to role, industry or vendor. Choices include:
- Applications—architecture, development, CRM & customer experience, digital workspace, integration, endpoint
- Data & analytics—BI, data management
- Infrastructure & operations—cloud management, data infrastructure, I&O
- Security & risk management—Identity & access, apps & data, networks & endpoints, cloud
