Design thinking: problem-solving through creativity

As part of the UW Design Community series, an April 22 session will focus on “design thinking,” a process that fosters collaboration and creativity to solve problems and innovate in a human-centered way.

Mandy Morrow, associate director of the DesignLab and instructional coordinator, will join us to share her expertise in design thinking. At the DesignLab, Mandy works with others to provide design consulting services to students and instructors on campus.

April 22 event details

“Thinking like a designer can transform the way organizations develop products, services, processes and strategy. This approach, which is known as design thinking, brings together what is desirable from a human point of view with what is technologically feasible and economically viable. It also allows people who aren’t trained as designers to use creative tools to address a vast range of challenges.” IDEO (global design company)

We hope you will join us to learn new ways to approach challenges at work.
