Learn to be more cybersecure in 30 minutes

Want to better protect yourself and your personal information online?

Every day, new phishing, smishing, pop-ups and other scams arise to lure us into revealing personal information, clicking malicious links, or downloading harmful software. How can anyone keep up with these deceptive tactics and stay safe online? If you have fewer than 30 minutes, we can help!

Go to the Cybersecurity Awareness Training page and sign up to take the training in Canvas. Please be aware that student training is not tracked and will not show up in your learning transcript. However, you can verify your completion by checking the Canvas Gradebook. Your grade will show as 100% if you fully completed the training.

If you are a student employee, you will be notified via email from Workday 30 days prior to when your required training is due.

Why take this optional training?

The Cybersecurity Awareness Training teaches you how to stay safe online. It’s designed to help you:

  • learn the importance of keeping your operating system (OS) up to date

  • know where to find Cybersecurity guides and other resources that show you in detail how to be more cyber secure

This training is free and can be taken at any time. Squeeze it in now, during a long weekend, or over a holiday break. But, most importantly, please take it.
