All ResearchDrive, RestrictedDrive and Shared Drive shares on the Isilon system will be unavailable from Saturday, January 8 until the evening of Sunday, January 9. The planned outage window will begin at 7am Saturday and conclude Sunday evening. These dates were selected to minimize the impact to campus as much as possible. However, we realize that this will be a disruption, and we apologize for that inconvenience.
DoIT is in the process of moving most of its equipment into a new data center, and it is time for this service to move. Because of the large amount and complexity of equipment involved, we anticipate that it will take two days to complete the move. We have contracted with our vendor’s professional services group to assist with the move, so it can be completed as quickly and smoothly as possible.
Impacted services include:
- Shared Drive shares on the Isilon system — includes DoIT Home (M: ) and Shared (N: ) drive
Please be sure to notify any users of these shares for which you are responsible. Updates will be posted on the Outages page when the work is completed.
