Scott Kohl selected as new program & project management associate director

Scott KohlI am delighted to announce that Scott Kohl will serve as our program and project management associate director. Scott’s first week with the Division of Information Technology Portfolio & Project Management Office (PPMO) team will start on November 20.

Scott joins us from the Office of Strategic Consulting, where he served as the associate director of strategic initiatives. With 26 years of experience in project management and product development, Scott brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the PPMO team. I’m excited about Scott’s leadership and passion for developing positive and resilient workplace cultures. He’s been a great partner in his former role, and I’m thrilled he’s now going to be a member of the PPMO and the Division of Information Technology (DoIT).

Scott lives west of the UW campus in the Regent neighborhood with his wife, Michelle, a 10-year-old son, Luca, two cats, Mr. Goodkins and Captain Peeps, and a German shepherd, Arya. Scott and his family enjoy almost everything geeky, and tabletop games are central to family time. They also have a sizable investment in LEGOs. When not looking at screens, they enjoy landscaping, camping, hikes and road trips.

We were fortunate to have a competitive recruitment and a strong pool of finalists. Mark Field led the Search and Screen Committee, supported by Charissa Weber in HR and Care Adametz from Internal Operations. Mark, Charissa and Care did outstanding work, for which I’m so grateful.

—Bobby Jo Morse, Portfolio & Project Management Office (PPMO) director
