You’re invited to attend the UW Design Community event on Wednesday, February 22. University Marketing will join us to talk about the new university typefaces (Red Hat Display and Red Hat Text), the timeline and plans for transitioning to the new fonts, and the resources and templates they’ve made available. They’ll also spend time answering your questions about the transition.

Haven’t heard about the font transition?
Starting in January 2023, UW–Madison began to transition its official brand fonts from Verlag and Vitesse to Red Hat Display and Red Hat Text. See University Marketing’s UW Font Transition website for a brief timeline of updates and a detailed Q&A with guidance and resources.
You can also review instructions for how to update your campus website by June 30, when the current font license expires. Sites hosted on WiscWeb will be automatically updated on February 16. New versions of the UW Theme will also be available on that date.
