New look coming to Webex meetings

Webex will soon roll out an interface update that will change how meetings look and the layout of some controls and settings in the Webex Suite meeting platform.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • You don’t need to do anything to receive the update—it will happen automatically.
  • The change will take place on March 4 at 1pm CT. Any meetings that are already in progress at that time will continue using the current interface until the meeting ends.
  • In addition to several cosmetic changes, the update will remove the main menu bar at the top of Webex meetings for Windows. Features that used to be in the menu bar, like participant privileges, audio and video settings, meeting options, etc., will only appear in the meeting controls at the bottom of the meeting window.

You can view the full list of changes and see examples of the new interface look and updated control locations in the Webex Help Center article about the upcoming changes. The article includes screenshots and details about the refreshed interface coming March 4, as well as future Webex interface updates.

If you have questions about this coming change or run into difficulties with the new interface after it launches, please contact the Help Desk.
