What is TechNews?

Welcome to a new academic year, Badgers! Whether you’re brand-new to campus or a returning student, TechNews is your monthly guide to navigating technology at UW–Madison.

Here’s what you can expect every month:

  • News and information: We’ll share articles about the applications and IT services you need to learn and work at UW–‍Madison.
  • Tips and “tech hygiene”: Watch for reminders and tutorials to help you make the most of technology. (Cleared your cache lately?)
  • Cyber safety reminders: Be on the lookout for scam alerts and ways to stay safe and secure online.
  • Student learning opportunities: Want to learn CSS or brush up on Excel? Curious about InDesign, Audacity or programming with R or Python? Check out all that Software Training for Students has to offer. We’ll include a list of upcoming courses and workshops in TechNews each month.
  • And much more!

TechNews will hit your inbox every month during the academic year.
