Why TechNews has a new ‘From’ email address

You might notice that the January 27 TechNews has a new “From” email address: doit@explore.wisc.edu rather than the old doit@lists.wisc.edu. Why this change?

WiscList, the now-sunsetted UW–‍Madison email service, sent emails with the domain lists.wisc.edu. Its replacement enterprise mass email tool, Oracle Eloqua Marketing Automation, sends emails with the domain explore.wisc.edu. We in DoIT Communications will now use Eloqua to send TechNews and other designed e-digests and emails. These emails will have explore.wisc.edu in the “From” address.

You can trust that emails from this new domain contain authorized UW–‍Madison messages.
