In August, the “Make It Accessible” guides were relaunched as a comprehensive resource from the Center for User Experience (CUE) designed to help people make their digital environments more accessible. The most recent addition to this resource is the course material accessibility guide.
The course material accessibility guide contains specific guidance for anyone creating Canvas course content and documents. With helpful screenshots throughout, this guide is a great starting point for building more accessible Canvas courses. Instructors should continue to reach out to their local support for help with course design or connect with the Center for Teaching, Learning & Mentoring. For help regarding academic accommodations, contact the McBurney Center.
