Repair

The DoIT Help Desk offers free software services such as virus detection and removal and operating system re-installs. In addition, if you have a departmentally owned Apple or Dell computer that is in need of a hardware repair, we can facilitate a repair to one of our contract repair service vendors who are Dell and Apple warranty certified.

Duo multi-factor authentication (MFA)

The Duo Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) service provides secure access to all UW–‍Madison applications. Paired with the NetID login service, Duo MFA adds an extra layer of identity protection onto the NetID login.

SecureBox

SecureBox service provides a free-online file storage and collaboration service to store ePHI.  It is available for UW–‍Madison staff to share ePHI data with collaborators (internal and external to UW–‍Madison) when a departmental solution is not available and the amount of data to be stored is less than 50GB.

Web conferencing (Zoom)

Zoom is an enterprise cloud platform for video, voice, online meetings, screen sharing, chat and webinars. This enterprise web conferencing and distance learning application runs across mobile devices, desktops, telephones and room systems and includes access to the Zoom AI Companion.

Google Cloud Platform

Google Cloud Platform (GCP)  is supported by UW Cloud Services, a CIO-sponsored initiative to deliver public cloud computing services to UW–‍Madison faculty, staff, and departments.

Research storage (ResearchDrive)

ResearchDrive provides secure, shareable, research storage space on the UW–‍Madison campus network for a variety of research purposes.

Web conferencing (Cisco Webex)

Cisco Webex is a leading enterprise solution for voice, video, online meetings with AI summaries, screen sharing, synchronous/asynchronous messaging and webinars. The application is supported across desktops, mobile devices, tablets and hybrid room systems, and includes access to the Webex AI Assistant.
