People creating and sending emails

How to write emails people will actually read

Email is inescapable in the modern academic workplace. But despite email being so central to how we get things done, it can be remarkably difficult to write effective emails—i.e., emails that people will actually read and understand.

The UW Design Community will host an in-person, half-day training workshop July 24 to give you strategies and tools for writing better, more effective emails.

This hands-on workshop led by Dayana Kibilds, strategy director at the Ologie marketing agency, will show you how to create an effective email strategy built for action, write emails people will read and measure your success. You’ll leave with a better understanding of what email is best for and why it’s important, and with tools to help you build your own email strategy.
