UW–Madison is utilizing Cisco VoIP for our telephone service on campus. DoIT is responsible for supporting all aspects of the telephone service including infrastructure, voicemail and recommendations for phone equipment.
Users can either use a Cisco VoIP phone or use Cisco Webex to place and receive calls from their computer or mobile devices using the Webex App. Check out our list of supported Cisco desk phones.

Requirements
- Telephone service must be ordered through an Authorized user. Requests for phone services have a 1 week turnaround.
- Must be a UW–Madison Employee.
- Equipment must be ordered at ShopUW+ from the MDS Corestock Punchout.
Getting started
- Register as a new authorized user
- Place an order for VoIP services and telephone equipment.
- If you need to install a data jack, contact the Physical Plant Electric Shop (608-263-3333).
- For campus directory assistance, call 608-262-1234.
