Wireless (eduroam)

Eduroam is a secure, worldwide, federated network access service developed for the international research and education community. It allows affiliates from participating institutions to obtain Internet connectivity on the UW-Madison campus and when visiting any of the eduroam-enabled institutions around the world.

Benefits

  • Use your NetID login and password to connect to wireless at any eduroam-enabled institution.
  • Visitors from participating institutions can get secure wireless network connectivity at UW-Madison.
  • Wireless devices can be configured to automatically connect to eduroam, where available.
  • More secure than UWNet wireless.

Requirements

  • A UW-Madison NetID, or a credential from a participating institution.
